Archive System
This provides a detailed knowledge of the contents of your cassettes and fast access to your recordings made on this recorder. Cassettes recorded on another video recorder, cannot be added to the archive, even not when erased before. Only new, absolutely unused cassettes can be added to the archive system. Keep in mind, that video cassettes suffer from high abrasion. Mainly high temperatures cause damage to the mechanical stability of the tape. So allow your new video recorder to have a set of new cassettes and you will be rewarded with a maximum of picture quality. Once added to the archive, of course you can record on the cassette again and again. The old titles will be replaced by the new ones. Do not use cassettes of your archive for recordings on other video recorders, to keep the title listing working. The archive memory has maximum capacity of 150 cassettes with together 210 titles. When «ARCHIVE MANAGER MEMORY FULL» or «NO MORE TITLES CAN BE ADDED» appears, you have to remove unimportant cassettes from the archive.
Adding cassettes to the archive
Switch your TV to monitor mode.
Find title or blank position
After inserting a registered cassette, the cassette number and the listing of all recorded titles will appear on screen. Select the cassette with the recording that you wish to see. Mark the title of your recording or the blank position you look for. Select the marked item. The recorder searches for the beginning of your recording and starts playback automatically. Or it stops at the beginning of a blank tape area when you had chosen «EMPTY». When you select a recording from another cassette, the inserted cassette is ejected. Follow the on screen request and insert the needed cassette. Automatic search and playback of the desired recording will follow.

So they will be easy to be found.
